Love Listens

Today, we are often encouraged to have all the answers; to point people to our perspective, to post the poignant article, and to make our voice and "our truth” known.

However, Jesus, who deeply cared about truth, decided to go about that process, not purely through proclamation and giving all the answers, but by meeting people where they are at, and offering them questions in order to draw them in. He created relationship, for them to get to know Him and for Him to hear their story.

Jesus is constantly drawing others into conversations and meals, abstaining from judgement, and subsequently revealing truth, but then allowing people to come to conclusions on their own. Jesus loves through the act of listening.
