Transformative Waiting

In Advent we experience the truth that Christ has come, but he has not yet returned. However, this moment of waiting for His return is not devoid of His presence. It is a dynamic moment, where are given the Spirit and filled with His presence. Is an active waiting. It is a waiting with the Spirit. It is a waiting in partnership with the Spirit. The kingdom is at hand and is breaking in; the end game is already promised and won. Therefore we wait and we celebrate. We long for redemption, while acknowledging our ongoing transformation in the spirit.
