Advent is a season of the already, but not yet. It is a season of longing, expectation, and recognition of both the darkness and the breaking in of the light. Ultimately it is a season of waiting. However, this waiting is not passive, it is strong, expectant, and long suffering. It is a waiting rooted in in Jesus, it is a waiting rooted in hope.
